Workshops & learning

[Texto disponible solo en inglés] Mapping Ecologies is a lab by media artist Mark IJzerman consisting of three evenings in which we explore new ways of using media art to provide insights about climate emergency and environmental collapse. We invite media artists, designers, performers and musicians and scientists with an open mind to join.

We will look at shifts in local ecologies, whether that is local biodiversity, noise pollution, soil salinity, air pollution et cetera. We will use different techniques, from working with datasets to using imagery and photogrammetry to map different changes. This material will be used in...

This material will be used in a creative coding context, using software like Max, Touchdesigner, and the like to create new immersive stories about the environmental shifts we are experiencing today.

The aim of the workshop is to work with open data on ecological and social issues to make an Audio/Visual piece.

Attendance is free.
