But digital video mixing is hard, and requires specialized high speed logic design skills whose results are seen everyday (mobile phones, computers, ...) but which very few open source developers choose to learn. As a consequence, all those devices are mere controllers for a proprietary module doing the actual mixing. Such approaches lack flexibility and transparency; for example, even implementing simple features such as additive blending requires an intervention of the manufacturer of the module and difficult features such as pixel shaders are not possible.
To improve the situation, we are developing the Mixxeo, a digital video mixer built on the open source Milkymist system-on-chip technology. Join us and expand the realms of open source hardware.

Nothing special, it's conference-like (regular video projector + sound system)
