[Texto disponible solo en inglés] Choreographer - Multimedia & Interaction Designer

Jorge is a Colombian designer-artist based in Brussels (pronouns they/he/she) whose work lies in the intersection of interface technologies and sociology, with a strong body-oriented approach.
They are dancers & choreographers by academic formation & practice - Master’s degree in Contemporary Dance - they hold a bachelor degree in Multimedia & Communication Technology, with a focus on live visuals, generative motion design and digital interfaces. Their choreographies propose playgrounds where the body in time-space becomes a source of non-binary knowledge.

They are part of the Art & Science collective SEADS (Space Ecologies Art and Design), a transdisciplinary and cross-cultural collective of artists, scientists, engineers and activists engaged in deconstructing dominant paradigms about the future who develop alternative models through a combination of critical inquiry and hands-on experimentation.

By opening up access to information Jorge attempts to deconstruct hierarchical structures that exist within the art world. Their platform Designing Art focuses on the translation between art direction & its technical implementation.

They create frameworks with a responsive/interactive/relational aspect where the subject of attention is the public, where the people come together. Their focus is on decolonizing knowledge where the body is a source of healing.
