[Texto disponible solo en inglés] Mappathon™is inspired by events called hackathons where computer programmers, graphic designers, interface designers and project managers collaborate intensively on software projects in a limited time. It teaches the latest projection mapping technology and techniques to students, enabling them to create a site-specific interactive or static projection mapping installation.

LED Mappathon™teaches the basic knowledge of projection mapping technique to control LED lights installations. The course has three learning stages: Making animation from static images and mixing video contents to control LED lights, how to set up hardware to control LED lights, basic LED light setup...

LED Mappathon™teaches the basic knowledge of projection mapping technique to control LED lights installations. The outcome of projects can include media installations, interactive objects, and light performances.

CHiKAis a Japanese-born, New York-based New Media Artist who is a founder of Mappathon™. She enjoys teaching students through new technology and seeing her students grow as artists, festival and event organizers all over the world.

The3-day workshopwill take a place on the SPEKTRUM art_technology_community premises from August 26th to 28th2017.
