[Text available only in English] Francesco Nastro is one of the most refined and sensitive pianists and composers on the Italian jazz scene. Born in Castellammare di Stabia, he graduated in piano and composition from the “L. Refice” Conservatory in Frosinone before embarking on a career that led him to collaborate with some of the most respected names in international jazz.

His compositions—poetic and introspective—reflect a constant musical exploration, rich in harmonic nuance and collective improvisational dialogue.
Throughout his career, he has performed alongside artists such as Lester Bowie, Gary Peacock, Peter Erskine, Dave Liebman, Javier Girotto, and many others. He has released several acclaimed albums, including Naissance, Trio Dialogues, Colors of Light, and Sea Inside, which showcase his creative depth and stylistic versatility.
In addition to his work as a performer and recording artist, Francesco Nastro is a dedicated educator, actively engaged in sharing jazz culture through teaching, workshops, and listening labs.
