Michal Jablonski comes from Warsaw and - like many main players of the Warsaw scene - developed his taste for music at events organized at the infamous Paragraf51 club. His first performances before a broader audience happened at Przestrzen Graffenberga where he exploited the turntables while playing harder styles of techno. At that stage, his interest for production and live acts became evident and he decided not be passive anymore. His first performance with own material was at the No Mercy club in Warsaw at one of the “Horry Tone” events. Since that time, he played at all of Poland’s most important venues for electronic music: from m25, Nowa Jerozolima and 1500m2 in Warsaw, through Metro in Bialystok and INQbator in Katowice, to 8bitow and Projekt LAB in Poznan.
Michal’s productions were released not only by Polish labels such as Minimicromusic, Dirty Stuff or Nitodrum. His music also appeared abroad on Rawhard Audio Records.
Within the last years, Michal proved that the scope of his interest and production ability reaches much further than just one genre. He experiments within a broad spectrum ranging from dubstep and drum’n’bass to house, minimal and his beloved techno. His style in techno can be described as raw energy at 134 BPM which sometimes contains the background noise and ambience characteristic for dub techno which he considers one of the most beautiful genres ever.
Michal now also creates a duo under the name ROOM23 with Pawel Zawadzki (Weld). Together they perform live and produce techno which perfectly fits in the canons existing in the scene at present.
