[Texto disponible solo en inglés] Natalie Szende is a German-Hungarian electroacoustic composer, performer, and media artist. Influenced by hauntological aesthetics, her practice moves between contemporary music, sound art, and experimental club culture, with a particular interest in spatial sound.
She has given solo performances at venues and festivals including House of Music Hungary, INOTA Festival, Sziget Festival, and Collegium Hungaricum Berlin. She has composed music for theatre productions presented at Deutsches Theater Berlin and Trafó House of Contemporary Arts in Budapest, and collaborated with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin on the performance of her orchestral composition.
A graduate of the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Szende has been an artist-in-residence at Elektronmusikstudion Stockholm and MM Artech+ Shanghai. In 2025, she received a scholarship from IRCAM and the Ulysses Platform to present her ambisonic composition LLBY at Centquatre-Paris, and in 2026, she was awarded the Carmen Mateu European Young Artist Award as part of a collective.
She also composed the score for the animated film Adgwa Ata, which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2026.
