[Texto disponible solo en inglés] MEMORY / MATTER is an interactive audiovisual installation exploring the relationship between physical space, memory and digital reconstruction.
The work is based on visual and sound fragments collected from Ukrainian post-industrial spaces. Architecture, industrial textures, field recordings and moving images are transformed into a responsive digital environment.
The installation reacts to the presence and movement of visitors. As a person approaches or moves through the space, different visual and sound layers are activated, revealing fragments that would otherwise remain hidden. Each visitor therefore creates a slightly different audiovisual composition.
Rather than reconstructing a specific building, the work explores whether a place can survive through fragments of image, sound and memory after its physical reality has changed or disappeared.
The installation combines real-time visual processing, generative imagery, electronic sound and motion-based interaction. It is conceived as a compact, autonomous work that can run continuously throughout the event and be experienced without the constant presence of the artist.
