V3RBO is an urban and digital artist whose research focuses on the transformation of letters and the evolution of writing culture within the digital space. In his practice, the sign progressively moves beyond its condition as a static grapheme to become an animated, modular structure in continuous transformation.
The letter is conceived as a biotechnological organism, constructed through biomechanical elements that modify its form, structure and behaviour. Exoskeletons, joints and mechanical components become armour through which lettering acquires new possibilities for movement and transformation, while the relationship between sign and style remains at the centre of the research.
This process takes form through Mecha Lettering, a visual language in which typographic construction encounters mechanical and organic imagery. Letters are disassembled, assembled and mutated, passing through different configurations that progressively challenge the boundary between artificial structure and living organism.
At the same time, V3RBO’s research maintains a direct connection with writing culture and its notion of the stylewar: confrontation through style. Exoskeletons therefore become metaphorical armour with which letters are equipped, transforming the alphabet into an arsenal of mutating forms.
From this evolution emerge the Metabugs, entities in which lettering, biomechanics and organic transformation converge. The sign no longer represents a definitive form, but a temporary state within a continuous process of mutation.
