Rainbow for Tomorrow
[Texto disponible solo en inglés] Art Installation Label for Museum | Curatorial Write-Up

To visualize music is to see within it all the lines, curves, pauses and colors that were once invisible to the eye. Rainbow for Tomorrow is an interactive and participatory experience in the form of an audio-visual installation. It reimag(in)es sound waves through multi-layered colored lines, and invites participants to manipulate them using modern technological tools before projecting these multi-colored creations on a large screen. Neither sound nor visual art exists in a vacuum. Instead, this installation draws these two forms together to augment an accumulative palimpsest of audio experiences that builds on one another.

Each sound wave created by participants is delineated in a different color, which is then stacked and overlaid to form a multilayered rainbow of sound. The installation synthesizes these seemingly disparate sounds into a single audio-visual experience. Employing an additive structure that mirrors the gradual gathering of different people to partake in the creation of something beautiful, Rainbow for Tomorrow is an adaptable and transformative installation that is designed to be projected anywhere, on anything. This aligns with the artist’s goal of making art accessible to all.

In a contemporary age of crisis and anxiety, this installation builds a massive communal repository of audio-visual explorations. It acts as an ever-changing collection of memories that moves participants to find harmony in diversity and beauty in chaos.
