Transforming music into images capable of moving autonomously according to the notes played: this is ARTificial, a combination of artificial intelligence techniques machine learning and graphics that can bring painting and music together in a unique way, extending the potential of the two languages.
The viewer is projected into a latent, hidden space of unknown shapes, colours and patterns that could not be perceived in any other way. A universe governed by numbers, in which mathematics loses its rigidity, cold and detached, revealing an unsuspected human side: the capacity of making people emotional.
With ARTificial I have tried to give a movement, always alive, always new, to what happens inside each one of us when we find ourselves in front of something that leaves us speechless, such as a panorama, the sea, a sunset.
In this project, therefore, one is not limited to rationalising every single behaviour of the implemented code, but is surprised at every execution. This is because as much as man strives to understand every single thing and wants to control it in a deterministic and rational manner, he ends up marvelling when the unexpected, the new, appears.
