[Texto disponible solo en inglés] This workshop serves as an introduction to video related circuit bending in general and bending gaming consoles in particular. I will describe some general techniques, show some examples of affordable equipment that can be circuit bent and the glotches that can be achieved by doing so. Video circuit bending can be quite complex, so this workshop will concentrate on orientation and experimentation, maybe sketching out rough ideas, but not so much on BUILDING YOUR OWN GLOTHED MEGATHING NOW!!!!!
I have worked on video mixers of several manufacturers and some video editing equipment as well as scan converters and quad video processors. I've bent quite a few gaming consoles from NES and SNES and the like up to Playstation2. Basically, everything I get into my fingers, I open up and poke around in. So if you have some piece of equipment lying around that you'd always wanted to have a go at, but weren't too sure where to start, bring it along and we'll have a look at it together.
