Running a network in the age of the Internet of Things means hosting the connectivity of multiple devices owned by a diversity of subjects.
Often such devices have full access to private, common and public information about humans operating them. Furthermore, devices can talk to each other without humans being consulted, and such interactions are not even manifest.

Dowse is a project about awareness. We emerge your traffic, also to OSC, allowing you to parse it, recognise patterns and devices and "switch them off" from calling home, if so you wish.
We will present in the talk not only the device and its software, but also the way we learned to interact with it during the workshop, and all the experiments that people is doing with visualisation and sonification of network traffic in their pieces.
